Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 2 pm–2 am. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Mr. Q's at (718) 567-8882; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Its Google rating stands at 2.9 out of 5 from 161 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.

Brooklyn is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Brooklyn follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

When I got a take out of ice rice they charged me $7.75, when the menu said $7.50. When asked, they said it was due to separating containers there is an extra charge of $.25. However, when you get take out from any other restaurant they always separate the rice or the noodles from the soup base without an extra container charge. They've been charging me extra all the time and I haven't questioned it at all but this time I really have to say something because of how little amount of rice I get each time for take out, with or without putting the rice in separate containers to pay that extra charge. The cashier even looked annoyed when explaining to me why I got extra charge when it is my right to question why I was charged extra when the menu clearly stated otherwise.

Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The sausage was basically just heated up with a little seasoning sprinkled on top. The tofu had an off smell and didn’t seem fresh. Overall, the quality was far below what I expected. It was a very disappointing experience, and I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

The food is delicious and well seasoned. The skewers range from $1-$4 each. The noodle soup comes with meat, bok choy, tofu skin and wood ear mushrooms; it was around $7-$8 and you get to choose what kind of noodles you like. The fries didn’t come with any salt but they were hot and crunchy, we asked them for salt and it was salted well. I got the spicy beef noodle soup and lamb noodle soup, they were both so delicious and the beef especially was so tender. I got multiple bbq skewers: mini sausages, fish tofu, fried tofu, lamb, beef, something wrapped with bacon, rice cakes, short rib, shrimp, and mushroom. I recommend everything besides the fried tofu, it has a good flavor but it’s kind of tough, I prefer the fish tofu more. The fried milk is crunchy and slightly sweet, the inside is soft. I also recommend the jasmine tea drink and the Iced lemon black tea drink, you can get these drinks in the fridge. They also have a small, but clean bathroom. I recommend this place.

I grew up with Mr.Q’s! Solid flavors. The drinks are good for the price. The fried food is crispy and savory. I’m surprised by the low reviews. It does a feel a bit too pricy when everything gets calculated and sometimes the service is bad.

This place is located on a corner in brooklyn. A really good late night bbq place. After getting my hair done for 9 hours it was 1 am so this was definitely did fill me up. The seasoning was good. The rice cake were delicious, it was crunchy and soft. They had ice rice dessert which was pleasant. I recommend getting the rice cakes.
